Council District Service Fund, what is it and who gets it?
The only at-large council member who did not respond was Julian Ramirez.
All the others indicated that they did not receive the funds. So, I started looking into it and what it can be used for. Here is the answer.
I emailed the at-large council members. Let’s see who replies and what they have to say about how that money is spent or how they intend to spend it. I could do an open records request, but ever since Annise Parker, the city has made it very difficult to get a response. I often wondered what Parker was hiding. I will come back with an update at a future date and repost.

An article from the Chronicle reminded me that I have often what the at-large members use that money. Because for the most part they don’t respond to district problem concerns. Well they may reply to contact the district council person.
As I read an article in the Houston Chronicle, I wondered how the at-large council members use those funds. In my experience, they do not get involved in district concerns.
I will be surprised if any of the at-large offices respond, as they have, in the past, assumed that they only deal with important matters. This is based on countless emails to at-large offices.
That pothole at the entrance to our neighborhood may not be important to you, but it is to the community. I am not reporting a pothole.
I found a list of how council offices have used it in the past. To what, if anything, does your office contribute?
