In the short video below, she puts John Whitmire in his place. Whitmire intended to have his agenda by handing the mike over to Commissioner Briones, but “Adelita” stopped him and took the mike and kept her promise to the Latino community by repeating what she had stated in Spanish.
Now, if the other Latino/Latina politicians who have been in office for years could only grow at least one huevo, then maybe our community could advance to where it should be in Harris County. This is by no means a dig on Commissioner Briones as from I have seen thus far she is the best commissioner that our community has had in this neck of the woods, Sharpstown area.
Whitmire stated that he is also without power; therefore, he walks the walk. I would have to see if his family is staying at the house without electricity, or if he is more like Cancun Cruz. If I were a betting man, I would bet that they are not staying at home or is more like someone I know who has a gas generator that takes over when there is a power disruption.
