Mexico
Mexican rescue teams from Acuña, Coahuila, arrived in Kerrville, Texas, on Sunday, July 6, 2025, to assist with search and rescue efforts following devastating floods, according to Yahoo News. These teams, including firefighters and members of the local civil protection and fire department, responded to a request from Texas EquuSearch. Additionally, volunteers from the Mexican non-profit Fundación 911 joined the effort.
The aid arrived after a severe flooding event on July 4th that caused significant damage and loss of life in Central Texas. The teams from Acuña worked in coordination with local authorities, specifically assisting in search efforts along the flooded Guadalupe River. The Mexican government also expressed solidarity and support, with the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico thanking them for their assistance.
FEMA
FEMA Individual Assistance was made available to flood survivors in Texas on July 9, 2025, following the storms and flooding that began on July 2nd, according to FEMA.gov. This assistance was approved after a Major Disaster Declaration was issued by the President. The declaration made federal funding available to eligible individuals in Kerr County, with assistance including grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans, and other programs to aid recovery.
Specifically, FEMA’s activation in Texas, following President Trump’s declaration, happened on July 6, 2025. This allowed FEMA to partner with Texas state and local authorities to provide resources and support recovery efforts. The initial declaration covered Kerr County and was later expanded to include Burnet, San Saba, Tom Green, Travis, and Williamson counties.
Phone calls for assistance not answered.
The next day, July 6, FEMA received 2,363 calls and answered 846, or roughly 35.8 percent, according to the documents. And on Monday, July 7, the agency fielded 16,419 calls and answered 2,613, or around 15.9 percent, the documents show.
Winner as to caring for Americans, Mexico
Mexico cared more about the Americans here in Texas than Trump did. That tells you what Trump and his MAGA cultists’ hearts are.
