Voters favor Annise Parker for judge
Annise Parker, the former three-term Houston mayor and candidate for Harris County judge, had the highest net favorability rating of any other potential candidate in the lead-up to the 2026 election. Voters were also asked about Hidalgo, who has not said whether she is running for reelection, as well as Houston City Council Member Letitia Plummer, a Democrat, and Republican Piney Point Mayor Aliza Dutt, both of whom have announced campaigns for judge.
While Parker enjoyed a six-point lead over the other contenders county-wide, she lagged significantly behind Hidalgo among Democrats. Plummer was the Democratic candidate with the lowest net approval rating at 2% county-wide and 20% for party voters.
Voters favor Annise Parker for judge is how the Houston Chronicle headline read. The Houston Chronicle, in my opinion, has always strongly disliked Latinos and Latinas. In the last election, they went with the Republicans, and it would not surprise me if they decided to go against Hidalgo if she chose to run again.
This is how the Houston Chronicle started the article.
Judge Lina Hidalgo has the lowest net approval rating of any Harris County elected official, according to a study released Wednesday by the University of Houston Hobby School of Public Affairs.
If one reads the entire article, it becomes evident that Hidalgo is above water with the voters and is strongly liked by Democrats, which is the first hurdle the darling of the Chronicle, Annise Parker, would have to jump over.
So, if Democrats like Hidalgo by a wide margin but are behind Parker among all voters, then the people who like Parker are likely Republicans. Like Kim Ogg, Annise Parker is a Lesbian MAGA masquerading as a Democrat.
Some people would take issue with my use of the word Lesbian to describe Parker, but she is open about it, and if it does not bother her, it shouldn’t; then it should not bother others. When people use my last name or my first name, they are describing me as a Mexican. I am not Mexican, but that is how way too many Americans see us.
