What Trump and his followers are doing is treating a whole group of people as cattle

What Trump and his followers are doing is treating a whole group of people as cattle and culling the herd because they are afraid there will be too many of us brown skinned folks. They did that to the Native Americans; they had clinics in reservations, where, when a Native American woman had a child, they would also give them a hysterotomy. It is estimated that 25% of Native American women were sterilized. That is the purpose of what Trump and the Republicans are engaging in. The removal of birthright citizenship is a part of that.

The part of the culling of a herd comes from the second season of Dark Winds. The strategy of the gabachos has not changed; it only takes different forms or names.

What is so maddening to me is that a group of politicians stood up to protest crosswalks that are painted the same color as rainbows. But the politicians won’t stand up to what is happening, not just to people here illegally, but to legal residents and citizens. America is sick, and no one notices the decay and stench that it has become when crosswalks get more attention than people. How can Hispanics support either party when we are still second-class citizens to them? Democrats are very good at lip service.

Among those present at the news conference Tuesday were County Attorney Christian Menefee; state Sen. Molly Cook; Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones; former and County Judge candidate Mayor Annise Parker; Controller Chris Hollins; Council Member Mario Castillo; and state Reps. Gene Wu, Christina Morales, Lauren Ashley Simmons and John Rosenthal; as well as multiple representatives from neighborhood and LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations.

As the news conference got underway Tuesday, the crosswalk remained as is. But on adjacent sidewalks there were new chalk drawings. One read “gay rights are human rights” and “Mayor Whitmire quit.” Another drawing depicted a pink, blue and white transgender rights flag and read “IDK BRO I JUST EXIST.”

More drawings and even pride flags could pop up around Houston if the crosswalk ends up being painted over – officials on Tuesday called for residents to rally their support through putting up their flags or putting up yard signs.

“If we lose the battle, and we have to take this off the street, you put it on your house,” Commissioner Rodney Ellis said Tuesday. “You go and put it on the yard sign. You roll down the street and stick it out your car window, whatever angle they come up with, we have to find another one.”
