John Whitmire’s strategy stick your head in a hole.

Couldn’t believe my good fortune when I went to the New York Times and there was one of my favorite picks on a politician.

I have a year’s subscription to the New York Times; they had a great special, a dollar a week. That was well worth the value to me as I enjoy playing Wordle against the New York bot. I also enjoy playing the mini-crossword. But I do have to browse down to find Wordle, so I glance at whatever the Times calls news and their opinions.

Whitmire is full of himself, and it would not be so bad if he had the brain to run a city as large as Houston. Whitmire talks about trash.

Mr. Whitmire said his focus was on improving city services, such as garbage pickup.

The City has not picked up the heavy trash in our neighborhood for over two months; if our council member had not used district funds to pay for private heavy trash pickup, it would still be out there in the curbs and streets. In some neighborhoods in this district, the City had not picked it up for several months. That was one of the complaints of our super-neighborhood meetings. Whitmire is all mouth and patting himself on the back.

At least I know why he thinks that Houston is doing better than other cities; his head is in a hole in the ground.

There is one person who is quoted in the New York Times article who has this excellent quote: “He has no backbone.” He was referring to John Whitmire. The other thing they pointed out was that those who care about Houston, Whitmire won with the Republican support.

As to the disturbances that are occurring in other cities, maybe the ICE raids and the National Guard that were sent there by the man Whitmire says leave him alone, he is all-powerful, that would be the clown at the White House.

I do have an opinion as to why here in Houston, we have not seen those similar raids. (1) Hispanics, the MAGAs need to keep the Hispanics from getting mad at them, as they are counting on them to vote MAGA again. (2) They already have the Houston Police Department, the Sheriff, and Constables doing that for them. They have bribed or whatever they use to control the mainstream media to keep the public from knowing what is happening.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A new report by a research organization at Syracuse University, Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), shows about half a million immigrants were deported by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or Border Patrol agents in the last six months.

Harris County is one of the top counties in the United States with the most removals.

During the first half of this fiscal year, judges ordered over 136,000 immigrants to be deported compared to the last administration for fiscal year 2019. The pace of new removals today is 50% greater.

Here are the top cities as highlighted in the report:

1. New York City, New York
2. Harris County, Texas
3. Los Angeles County, California
4. Dallas County, Texas
5. Miami-Dade County, Florida

6. Montgomery County, Texas
7. San Bernardino County, California
8. Travis County, Texas
9. Orange County, California
10. Cook County, Illinois
