
But they should not be at the back of the pack waiting to see what happens; see if, politically, it is the right thing to get re-elected. They should be the leaders, not the followers.
But some or many of them are still standing on the sidelines waiting to see which way the wind blows. They see a political office as a job. It shouldn’t be a place to serve, where one would do so to make the community a better place, not for enriching or indulging in the niceties of life.
At this time in the history of our country, we need people with courage, people not afraid to fail. Those of us who have been here for a long time saw it happen; we read or knew some of the people who gave their lives to make this a better country.
