The people I picked are the same ones I chose previously as probably the best to help the Democrats and Latinos. The goal is to win in November, and we need a cross-section of all members of the Democratic Tent. We can’t say that Democrats are a Tent where everyone can belong to if the people making the rules and having the power are not representative of all the groups.
This year may be especially important as there is a movement of people who are tired of being lied to by members of all political parties. This is not something that the Democrats are creating; this is something that is a reaction to the idiot that Americans elected as president. Latinos are especially upset with what has happened and is happening. They voted for the person or persons that they believed would make their lives a little easier. Maybe have some money set aside for the kids’ college or their retirement. But it has gotten worse, and there is a chance that with the right candidates and the right messages, hopefully promises that will be kept, Texas can turn purple this year. Democrats may even win a seat or two statewide.
I am not a yellow-dog democrat. I used to vote Republican often, but that party no longer exists. When Trump came down the fake golden escalator and said that Mexico is not sending their finest, they are sending rapists, drug dealers, the worst of the worst. I knew that the Make America Great Again meant for us brown-skinned folks. It meant that we would again become second-class citizens, as we were in the 1950s and before.
The Trump movement was about letting less qualified, less intelligent white men be the bosses, just like the good old days. I had to take orders from many dumb, lazy white males.
The people on the ballot below are not all the candidates in a runoff; those are the ones I get to vote for or against.
