I look for articles, both positive and negative, on the candidates. They are all qualified to be a judge, but the experience and the fact that Judge Carter has proven to win against Republicans is a plus in my book. Several years ago, I joined the Southwest Democrats and managed to attend most of their meetings. I have seen Judge Carter at least twice but don’t recall meeting his two opponents. I guess I will soon see them live and in person at one of the Southwest Democrats meetings.
Neither of the candidates running against Judge Carter gave me a reason to suggest that people should vote for them instead of re-electing Judge Carter. Re-elect Kyle Carter as Judge.

In his time presiding over the 125th District Court, he’s made headlines while handling high-profile cases. In 2010, he granted the Harris County Attorney’s Office’s motion to appoint a receiver to assume control of several companies accused of contaminating Vince Bayou in Pasadena. At the time, the Chronicle called the order “extraordinary legal relief” on the county’s behalf — and it’s a welcome example of how judges can impact their communities for the better.
