Court Jesters in olden times were more than just court entertainers. They were there to provide alternatives to the advice that the King or Queen received from their advisers. Advisers were not going to risk their necks or positions by telling the King that what they were proposing is wrong.
This morning I was listening to one that could be considered a court jester, a modern comedian.
It will least bring a smile to your face if not make you burst out laughing, assuming you are not one of those MAGA cult member, known for their intellectual ability.
