One of their talking points:
The Republicans’ tax bill will hand the wealthy a $65,000+ tax break, while working Texas families get crumbs.
Yes, we could be getting crumbs compared to the filthy rich, but do Democrats even give us crumbs? I don’t think Democrats even understand poor people; they have gotten into an elitist mind sphere and may not be able to get out of there.
Recently, I was asked to participate in an event with my State Rep. Lauren Simmons, which I endorsed and supported.
I emailed her at the beginning of the year, but never received a reply. They are blaming it on spam. I don’t know about that, but I sent a similar email to Senator Miles, whose chief of staff called me.
This is how Simmons has placed my email into a nice little box that suits them, I guess.

Below is the email that they claim they sent me.

I can’t print what my original email contained, as it is done through a portal, but I can tell you that it did not involve being against taxes.
As I told the representative for Ms. Simmons, I will not give her my vote again and will encourage others not to vote for her. If they can’t reply to their constituents with an honest answer, they don’t deserve to be in office.
Here is one of the articles I blogged in support of Simmons.
