I finally broke down and subscribed to Peacock and watched the series that people were writing about. I did it backwards as I watched 1883 and 1923 first, so I had no idea what to expect from Yellowstone. While it was produced for Paramount, it was not available in my Paramount+ subscription.
I was pleasantly surprised with the series; I had never seen so many women acting the part of evil persons. Although I am not sure that I would call Beth evil, she is the only daughter of John Dutton, and she is just bat-shit crazy, with some great fistfights in the series. Couldn’t figure out whether to love her or hate her part.
In my opinion, they ended the series just right. If it had continued, it would have become boring. Much of the final episodes were filled with memories or sex scenes, essentially filler content to extend the episode as needed.
Like many series I watch, I decided to check if there was any truth to the series; there wasn’t. It is a fictional world created by;
Yellowstone is an American neo-Western drama television series created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson for Paramount Network. The series premiered on June 20, 2018, and ended on December 15, 2024, after five seasons consisting of 53 episodes. It stars Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, and Gil Birmingham in main roles. The plot follows the conflicts along the shared borders of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, the Broken Rock Indian reservation, Yellowstone National Park, and land developers.
In 2013, Sheridan began work on the series, having recently grown tired of acting, and switched to screenwriting. Having lived in the rural parts of states such as Texas and Wyoming, Sheridan set the series in Montana and the first episodes in Livingston. Sheridan initially pitched the series to HBO, but the network declined. In May 2017, Paramount Network announced that it had greenlit its first scripted series, Yellowstone, and that it would be written, directed, and executive-produced by Sheridan.
The series became the first in the Yellowstone franchise that includes both the prequel series 1883 (2021–2022) and 1923 (2022–2025) and the upcoming sequel series The Madison and Y: Marshals, while multiple other spin-offs remain in various stages of development.
Source, please donate to wikipedia, it is one of the few sources that is free. My parents paid a ton of money for the World Book Encylapedia.
It has a good ending, with less evil triumphing over greater evil; actually, the multibillion-dollar corporation loses. How often do we see that happen in real life?
Peacock is one of the most pricey subscriptions, and it’s probably worth the money for people who like sports. I am not one of those.
If you haven’t seen Yellowstone, I highly recommend it.
My favorite season was Season 3, so the recap of those episodes.
