Texas National Guard could use Pete Hegseth motivation

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth fat-shames the U.S. military’s top brass. I do believe they should invite to come and give a talk to the Texas National Guard. The people from Chicago are having fun at the expense of our Texas National Guard.

Plus-sized members of the Texas National Guard have been viciously mocked for their weight as they arrived in Chicago for deployment

The cruel comments come after Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth demanded military personnel must return to ‘the highest male standard’ in a meeting with commanders last week.

‘Do these Texas rolls comply with commandant Hegseth’s newest fitness rules,’ one critic asked after photos emerged of troops at an Army Reserve center in Illinois.

‘Were they stationed at Texas Roadhouse,’ another added.

‘What were they guarding? The Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuit recipe?’ a third wrote, while another quipped ‘at least we know they won’t be able to run and catch anyone.’

I don’t want my son serving alongside troops who are out of shape, or in combat units with females who can’t meet the same combat arms physical standards as men,’ Hegseth said. ‘This job is life and death. Standards must be met.’

Don’t fret, it seems that obesity is prevalent among all National Guard troops.

More than two-thirds of Reserve and Guard troops are overweight, a potential threat to readiness and their ability to deploy at a moment’s notice, a new report by the American Security Project (ASP) found.

Some 68% of the nation’s reserve forces are overweight, ASP researchers estimate.

“With the diminished size of the [active-duty] force and increasing demands on the National Guard and reserves, service members separated due to obesity and its comorbidities are vital personnel the Armed Forces cannot afford to lose,” researchers concluded in the report.
