Mi dos centavos, my two cents on the Democrats agreeing to end the shutdown. Was it the right to fold, maybe. Unless the Democrats had the fortitude to go with the shutdown until Thanksgiving, there was little to gain politically and a lot of suffering for Americans. Not sure what going to Thanksgiving is going to accomplish, to be honest. The MAGAs enjoy making Americans suffer, do you? I picked Thanksgiving as a deadline because numerous so-called experts used that date.
The MAGA Party does not care about the vast majority of Americans. They care about the billionaires and multi-millionaires who control their party. What the shutdown accomplished is to show Americans that are not so full of hate for other Americans that the Big Beautiful Bill will make tens of millions of Americans suffer. Democrats stood their ground long enough to win us an election and to prove that the MAGAs are lying when they claim in the future about what they have done to Medicaid and how tens of millions will be purged from the rolls of Medicaid. MAGAS were smart enough to make those changes occur until after the 2026 elections. Now, when Democrats go and tell people what is coming, those not full of hate for other Americans are much more likely to believe them.
Democrats should immediately start hitting the MAGA party with what is to come. While the billionaires control almost all of Main Street media, there are many other places where one can get the true story of what is happening.

Suppose I find that they are worth reading. In that case, I will add them, making it easier for those of us who want to keep America free for all, regardless of color, ethnicity, religion, or sexual partner preference, to get good, honest news.
For those who think I am anti-gay, I am not. I have a granddaughter that I love, who would be very disappointed in me if it were true.
The best defense is a good offense. There are more of us than there are of them.
