People waiting to see what the Supreme Court has to say will be rushing to put their names in. I imagine that with that, Congresswoman Crockett’s decision whether to run for the US Senate was made easier for her. I expect her to announce she will run for the Senate.
The lone Hispanic Congressional Seat held by Sylvia Garcia is now in danger of being lost to a person who is not Hispanic. Honestly, I don’t see how anyone could do worse, especially when it comes to the Hispanic community.
The hardest choice for me is that, now that I will be in the 18th Congressional District, deciding between Green and whoever wins will be even harder.

Why it matters: Republicans’ majority in the U.S. House could hinge on whether Texas keeps or loses the extra five GOP-leaning seats state lawmakers drew this year.
Thursday’s ruling from the full Supreme Court maintains Alito’s order. The new GOP-favored map will take effect while the court reviews the case, which might not happen in time for next year’s elections.
