I write this not to honor Cesar, I write this to bury Cesar.

I come to bury Cesar, not to praise him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their bones;

So let it be with Cesar. The noble Brutus

Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:

I am not one who puts too many people on pedestals.
I am not one who easily praises people.

Cesar was a man, and all men have faults.

I have no idea if what he is now being accused of in his death is true.

But the overwhelming rush to desert his legacy, especially by women, surprised me.

I am somehow to believe the words of the survivors. Their word is gospel according to way too many women.

One article in the New York Times somehow makes what they claim is true. What about the emails, that New York Times?

The New York Times, which probably had more to do with Hillary Clinton losing than Donald Trump.

I supported Hilary as I did Kamala Harris or Lupe Valdez when she ran for governor here in Texas.

Now, because I want people to wait to see what is true and what is not, I become the symbol of what is wrong with men.

As I wrote back to one of such persons, it is no wonder that so many men vote for Republicans.

Below is what one person wrote on one of my postings.

I won’t post her name.

“Lies, lies, lies! I personally grew up around Cesar Chavez he was my Dad’s best friend and Helen was my mom’s best friend. We were always at La Paz for special events. Shit I would go spend the summer in La Paz when my sister and brother worked and lived there. And since I was like 8 years old I knew Cesar and his Family. All I know is that my Mom and Helen never liked Dolores Huerta I seen it growing up. And now it makes sense. She wasn’t sexually assaulted, she had an affair with Cesar. And I’m sure it wasn’t an accident she got pregnant. I’m sure she thought Cesar would leave Helen for her and he didn’t and that’s why she gave those babies up. Not once but twice. And of course he isn’t here to tell his side. Come on think about it. She is Dolores Huerta fighting for farm workers rights, Cesar’s right hand. Do you really believe he forced her. That woman never bowed down to nobody. No, she expected Cesar to leave his wife for her and when that didn’t happen out of spite she went after his brother Richard whose family she did destroyed. As for accusations of him sexually abusing under age girls, that is all lies. Because I have five sisters and we were always around him and he showed us nothing but respect. Dolores Huerta was a big #$#! My Mom and Helen never liked her and now I know why. So people can think and say what they want. That doesn’t change the History of change for farm workers that he did. And only the closest people to him knows the truth. QUE VIVA CESAR CHAVEZ!”

Before you are quick to judge people, bury Cesar’s reputation. Why can’t you wait for more to come out before completely making him a child and woman rapist?

One person wrote to me, ” You just came across feminists.”

I know that I am inviting more attacks by women. Popeye, my favorite cartoon character, used to say, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” It’s true unless you let them.

From the author of a book on Cesar Chavez;

Many people are now proposing taking Cesar Chavez’s name off of landmarks and replacing it with Dolores Huerta’s. What do you make of that idea? How will people who were involved in the movement react?

If the mantra is, “the movement is more than one person,” replacing one person’s name with another person’s name, it seems like you’re falling into the same trap. Let’s rethink how we’re dealing with this and what the point is. If the point is to talk about farm workers, then pick 10 farm worker leaders and name streets after them, if that’s your goal.
