Been busy reading as much as I can from as many sources as possible to try to get a handle on what hell did Trump just start?
Trump is weird, but most everything he does has some rationale behind it. Attacking Iran in the manner that he just did does not.
One – could it be some coordinated plan to weaken China or force it to do something that will allow Trump to declare martial law and stop the elections from happening? What Trump has done is basically cut off two sources of oil to China; however, it still leaves Russia, China’s neighboring country, to supply oil. Besides, China could bring almost everything to a stop by invading Taiwan. Taiwan makes ;
Taiwan produces over 90% of the world’s most advanced semiconductor chips and approximately 60% of all global semiconductor manufacturing capacity. TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) alone is responsible for a dominant portion of the advanced market, creating a significant global reliance on the island for high-end technology used in AI, smartphones, and defense systems.
From what I have read, it would take years for this country to build the infrastructure to do what Taiwan does.
Two – Trump is really that stupid and believed that by killing the spiritual leader of the Shites, Iran would just get down on its knees and beg Trump to work with them? We already have a Shah who says he needs to be the new leader in Iran; we just need to place him there.
Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last Shah, is actively positioning himself to lead a democratic transition in Iran, as reported by CBS News. As the Islamic Republic faces potential collapse, Pahlavi advocates for a secular, democratic, and territorially integral Iran, proposing a transitional role to oversee a future election.
Forcefully putting a Shah after Iran had elected a leader started this hate of America.
On 19 August 1953, Prime Minister of Iran Mohammad Mosaddegh was overthrown in a coup d’état that strengthened the rule of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran. It was instigated by the United Kingdom (MI6), under the name Operation Boot, and the United States (CIA), under the name TP-AJAX Project or Operation Ajax.
Mosaddegh sought to audit the documents of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC), a British corporation (now part of BP), to verify that AIOC was paying the contracted-for royalties to Iran and to limit the company’s control over Iranian oil reserves.[13][page needed] Upon the AIOC’s refusal to cooperate with the Iranian government, the parliament (Majlis) voted to nationalize Iran’s oil industry and to expel foreign corporate representatives from the country.[14][15][16][page needed] After this vote, Britain instigated a worldwide boycott of Iranian oil to pressure Iran economically.[17] Initially, Britain mobilized its military to seize control of the British-built Abadan oil refinery, then the world’s largest, but Prime Minister Clement Attlee (in power until 1951) opted instead to tighten the economic boycott[18][page needed] while using Iranian agents to undermine Mosaddegh’s government.[19]: 3 Judging Mosaddegh to be unamenable and fearing the growing influence of the communist Tudeh, UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and the Eisenhower administration decided in early 1953 to overthrow Iran’s government.
Still gathering data, so writing less and learning more. By late Tuesday night, we should know who the primary winners were and who is going to the run-offs.
