Well, yes Whitmire did win by a significant amount, but he didn’t come close to Bob Lanier’s reelection numbers.

So let us wait to see how the mighty man Quitmire does in four years. Bob Lanier made some promises and kept them. I don’t believe that Quitmire will be able to keep his promises. He already started attacking Commissioner Ronnie Ellis and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. He should maybe consider Bob Lanier’s saying, “Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.”
So Marc Anthony Campos, let us see how well his team does in the next four years. I am sure that a lot of people will be watching and keeping tabs to see if he keeps his promises. I know that he has most of the brown folks over there by the juevos and has had them since the 1980s. I don’t believe anyone has been elected recently in your neck of the woods without kissing his ring.
To my fellow Democrats who tried to demonize State Sen. John Whitmire on abortion, guns, MAGA, Trump, Gov. Abbott, and Dan Patrick, I am not disappointed in you. I just don’t respect you. Whether you are an elected official or Democratic activist, you are just a POS to me.
