Harris County Judge, 338th District Court

In my opinion the best person to vote for is Allison Mathis.

Tough on bonds, but slowest in getting cases handled, Judge Romana Franklin. The theory is if you take your time and deny them bond, they will be in jail for a very long time, even if it turns out that they are innocent.

The first article on Judge Franklin could not have been less flattering.

For years, defense lawyers have watched Franklin call defendants to the bench and conduct a “bail review” without taking record of the proceeding, they say. Defendants aren’t given notice, and an attorney isn’t always present, according to the complaint. Source

Seems that Judge Franklin has the distinction of having the slowest court in Harris County.

Do your job,’ victim tells judge in Harris County’s slowest court, source.

I think I will quit researching and see what the State Bar has to say about her.

No news is good news in this case, I could not find anything that would give Ms. Mathis a strike.
