I know that calling someone a mojado is not politically correct. The title of the article is actually the title of a pamphlet that was put together by the American G.I. Forum back in the 1950s. Immigration is going to be one of the or the major issue used to hammer Democrats. The other side of unfettered immigration must be discussed.
The pamphlet is challenging to read, but the link includes audio, where you can sit back and listen to what the pamphlet had to say about those who were coming here illegally to take jobs away from citizens and residents of this country.
The pamphlet is best read or listened to on a desktop/laptop.
The reason for posting is that all those who feel sorry for those fleeing economic conditions must also consider the people already here.
Below is a photograph of my uncle, Librado holding a sign up during the farm workers strike in the 1960s. He had the dubious distinction of having been arrested the most times during the strike.

The photo is from Sons of Zapata.
I would like for all of you that feel that we need to allow unlimited immigrants into the United States to look at the faces and how those citizens of the United States lived. Those immigrants that too many of you love are making life much harder for those here in this country who must compete with the Undocumented. Down in the Valley where my family comes from living conditions are not much better than they were in the 1950s for many of the people there.
I invite you to go speak to those that earn their living with their hands and ask them how they feel about more people coming into the United States who can take their jobs away or cause their wages to go down.
One of my neighbors lays carpet for a living, I know that he does not like what is happening. If he and is family were to vote, I would not be surprised to see them cast their votes for Trump. He speaks well about Trump and not about Biden. He is not the only one that I have asked and all I can say is that I am glad they don’t vote. They are registered and could vote if they so decided.
Below is the pamphlet, What Price Wetbacks.
