I told my wife that the tariffs would benefit us in one way: they would increase the value of my almost new truck. I told her that we would wait to see how much it goes up, and if it is sufficient, we will sell it, pay off the loan, and pocket the profits. We don’t need two vehicles, so we can get along with one. We will then sit it out and wait for the world to become more reasonable. My truck was $70,000 when I bought it, but it now sells for $80,000 new. Well, I guess it is now $100,000 new.
