We will have two Latinos in the city council 1n 2024 as District H, and I have only Latinos running.
There is a chance that one or two Latinos may get into a run-off at the at-large position. Four possible if we count Republicans.
Orlando Sanchez will be in a run-off, he is a Republican.
I think Richard Cantu will be in a run-off, he is a Democrat.
I believe Roy Morales will be in a run-off. He is a Republican.
Holly Flynn may get into a run-off.
Latinas United, are they a joke? Why call yourself Latinas United if you aren’t pushing for Latinas or women? Not even going for Latinos. How did they select who they would endorse? They remind of the Tejano Democrats that often went with non-Tejanos to endorse.

A young man was taking a walk down a pier where fisherman were fishing and crabbing. All the fishermen had beckets by where they were working. The young man stops and take a look in the bucket. He sees a bunch of crabs laying at the bottom of the bucket. While standing there watching the crabs he watched one grab begin to start climbing to the top of the bucket. He shouts to the fisherman “hey mister, one of your crabs are about to make an escape”. The fisherman doesn’t even turn around laughs and says “you must be new around here, watch, those crabs aren’t going anywhere”. The young man standing there watching sees the crab getting ready to make his escape like Andy DuFrank from the Shawshank Redemption. But then in a blink of an eye all the other crabs in the bucket reach up, grab the escaping crab, and pull him back to the bottom of the bucket. The fisherman starts laughing and says ‘see I told you that crab wasn’t going anywhere. Those other crabs won’t let him. All those crabs are safe in that bucket and they will be damned if their going to let any of them escape”. You see people are like crabs. Unfortunately when someone is starting to do well or break out of a limiting area in their life if they aren’t surrounded with people who support growth and change then they will be pulled back down to the other peoples level just like the crabs in the bucket.
