Seems that one of the Republicans that is in a run-off decided to imitate the orange man.
Roy Morales a Republican had the following to say regarding the undocumented, illegals, for the more racists among us.
“We are going to stop them, we are going to put them in jail,” Morales told a Harris County group in September. “We are going to go after them in Kingwood. We’re going to go after them in Clear Lake, the West Side, Denver Harbor, Second Ward, First Ward, the whole city.” Source
Hate and fear are what the MAGA party sells. There is no invasion. The number of undocumented persons has declined over the years.
A new Pew Research Center report released Thursday not only shatters that myth but also reveals that the opposite is true. According to the report, the country’s unauthorized immigrant population peaked at 12.2 million in 2007, that is, when George W. Bush was president, and that population has been steadily decreasing since then. The Pew report found that the unauthorized immigrant population in the United States stood at 10.5 million in 2021, a 14% decrease from what it was in 2007. Source
If one watches the news,” one would think that our streets are flooded by persons who are here illegally. They think because we all look the same to them. They being the Gringos.
Those darn gringos even confuse the Native Americans and Indians with the Latinos. High cheek bones, check. Darker skin tone, check. Don’t look European, check.
If one were to read or listen to what I have stated, one would find that I am against illegal immigration.
