Sunday is Onda Chicano, but I jumped the gun this week, so music is enjoyable in Spanish and English. The easiest genre to jump to from the Tejano sound is country music. The same subject matter: drinking, women, heartaches, macho, and both able to be danced with a woman in your arms, none of the jumping around or moving el colu.

Don’t have to speak Spanish to sing in Spanish. Selena did not speak Spanish when she started her Tejano music career. Garth Brook singing “El Rey”.
