For over fifty years the Republican Party has been pushing one thing. Democrats are the enemy of democracy. Democrats are the reason why you (meaning White male) are not as successful, why women don’t like you or respect you. Affirmative action give all those communists opportunities you will not have because of the unfair playing field that they (Democrats) have created. They truly believe that they are the victims.
The constant message that Republicans push is that the Democratic Party is the party of Jews, Blacks, Mexicans, thieves, communists, rapists, Illegals, etc.
Why would anyone expect those raised on that message and who are unable to think, expect them to all of a sudden start voting for Democrats?
That hasn’t mattered to Trump and other Republicans, who for years have used hyperbolic references to the associated political ideologies to spark fears about Democrats and the dangers they supposedly pose. Source
