Biden has sent back more persons who have crossed illegally than Trump.

Not only have they been capturing a larger percentage of people coming across illegally, but they are also sending a larger percentage back.

The Republican Party will not do anything to stop the hiring of undocumented workers.

“We know what an important part immigrant labor plays in Texas, and to suddenly wipe out large sectors … would have a devastating impact on the Texas economy,” said Bill Hammond, head of the influential Texas Association of Business, the state’s top business advocacy group. “We need immigrant labor to do those tasks where not enough Americans will.”

The left-right convergence — bringing businessmen and liberal immigration activists together — has been key in blocking legislation that would make life more difficult for undocumented immigrants in Texas, said Bill Beardall, executive director of the Equal Justice Center, a nonprofit law firm that advocates for immigrants and other low-wage workers in Austin.  Source

Trump v Biden illegal Immigration

For Trump, out of 1,365,529 Southwest border encounters during the 24-month time period, 47.4% of those immigrants were expelled or repatriated, while 52.2% were released. Comparatively, under Biden during the 26.3-month time period, out of 5,022,027 encounters, 50.9% of the immigrants were expelled or repatriated, while 48.6% were released.

Also, the estimated apprehension rate for immigrants attempting to cross the Southwest border averaged 78% between fiscal years 2017 and 2020. For fiscal year 2021, which appeared to be the most recent data available and included Trump’s roughly last four months in office and Biden’s roughly first eight months, the estimated apprehension rate was reported as 80.9%.
