If Trump becomes president incidents like the one about Black-American Troopers being passed over by less qualified White-Americans will become much more common.
McPherson was later passed over for a different job that was given to a white employee with less experience, he says, and ultimately placed in a minority-only unit that was given “more difficult and onerous tasks, work, and assignments and given less days off” than other units containing only white employees. I grew up in a world where scenarios like the one above were very common.
- When I worked at a refinery I was passed and a white much younger less experience White-American was given a supervisory position.
- It was common to send the Mexicans into dangerous working places without the proper protection.
- Our school counselor recommended I not waste my time going to college as there would not be jobs for people like me.
- In Sixth grade, when asked what we wanted to become, the teacher responded to my answer, “President of the United States,” with the statement that there would never be a person who looked like you who would become president of the United States. Her answer is still true sixty years later.
- Being stopped for looking Mexican was fairly common.
- When I protested a traffic ticket, the judge told me that I would be dead or in prison by the time I was twenty-one.
Those are just some examples of what life will be like for you dark skinned folks if Trump becomes president.
Even in college, I was denied the privilege of being a Marine officer. The reason they gave was that I failed the test. That was BS. I know when I do well on an exam, I did well on that exam.
My Selective Service Record indicates that I must have passed as I was given a Class I-D designation.
My name is on line 24
