Vice President Kamala Harris managed to surpass the low bar that Donald Trump set ahead of a Thursday CNN interview, her first with a journalist since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. Her claim to have never been in favor of a fracking ban raised our eyebrows. That’s some Trump-level language play.
Well, as to comparing Harris to Trump, below is what the NY Times had to say about Trump:
The latest example came on Friday, when Mr. Trump — nearly a full day after his campaign had to clean up his suggestion that he might support a Florida ballot measure allowing abortion up to 24 weeks following backlash from social conservatives — told Fox News that he would vote against it.
Harris adopted the policy of Joe Biden when she was selected as the vice president.
When she first ran for president in 2019, Harris had said she was firmly in favor of banning fracking — a stance she later abandoned when she joined President Biden’s campaign as his running mate, to side with his opposition to such a ban. Despite the Biden administration’s sweeping initiatives to address climate change, the president has also overseen the largest oil boom the U.S. — or the world — has experienced.
Houston Chronicle, like most, if not all, Main Street media, wants to create a kinder, nicer Trump by equating Kamala Harris to his type of behavior.
