As a country, we keep adding to our debt, and as a country, we keep sending money to foreign nations, often in the form of weapons; that is crazy.
So why is the title aimed at Israel? Well, Israel has been in the news of late. It has been a year since Hamas killed, raped, and took hostages. They should be punished, and I don’t blame Israel for wanting to get rid of the lot of them. What bothers me is that it is our money/weapons that are doing the killing.
What do we get out of it? I know some Christians think it signals the second coming of Christ. If one stops to think about it, that means that all the non-Christian Jewish people who do accept Christ as our Lord and Savior will not go to heaven or remain in the perfect world that God intended.
Many Israel supporters state that Israel is our Ally. I don’t recall Israel sending troops to Vietnam. If the price of gasoline goes sky high, will those people blame Israel if the reason is that they destroyed much of Iran’s capacity to produce fuel?
A week after it all started, a person I talked to called and asked me for my thoughts. I told her they have been killing each other for thousands of years; they will continue killing each other until either one or both are wiped off the face of the earth.
So let us put the question to the American people: do we keep sending arms to Israel?
