For most of the year, John Whitmire has kept his promise of monthly heavy trash pickup, but suddenly, our heavy trash has been sitting out in the curbs for months. However, I did see a heavy trash truck come looking for discarded Christmas trees. Obviously, Whitmire has filled his departments with non-Latinos; otherwise, someone there would have realized that many Latino cultures do not dispose of the trees or take down the lights until after “Dia de los Reyes.”
So, I anticipate that sometime in the New Year, John Whitmire will use his own tactic of not picking up the heavy trash as proof that he needs to rob the residents of more of their money. It would not surprise me if he used that useful idiot from District I to lead the charge. Whitmire will claim that the council wants it.
Khou 11, Houston, states that the heavy trash has been sitting there since early December. That may be true in some places, but in this neck of the woods, it has been sitting there since early October.
HOUSTON — Houston residents may experience delays in heavy trash pickup as city waste crews work to manage higher-than-expected volumes of debris, officials said Tuesday.
The city issued an alert through its waste collection app, notifying residents that crews are behind schedule. Currently, waste crews are collecting bulk waste scheduled for the first and second week of December.
