AI the new Union busting scab – tax the robots

Why would the new fascist-leaning Republican Party want white people to have more white children? There won’t be any high-paying jobs or maybe any jobs for them.

Most CEOs talk down the ability of AIs to do almost all the jobs that humans currently do; one CEO is being honest.

Over the past year, Klarna and Mr. Siemiatkowski have repeatedly talked up the amount of work they have automated using generative A.I., which serves up text, images and videos that look like they were created by people. “I am of the opinion that A.I. can already do all of the jobs that we, as humans, do,” he told Bloomberg News, a view that goes far beyond what most experts claim.

Even those jobs that many people hire people who are not here legally do cut the grass will be done by AI.

MOLINE, Illinois (January 6, 2025) – John Deere revealed several new autonomous machines during a press conference at CES 2025 to support customers in agriculture, construction, and commercial landscaping. Building on Deere’s autonomous technology first revealed at CES 2022, the company’s second-generation autonomy kit combines advanced computer vision, AI, and cameras to help the machines navigate their environments.

While each of these industries experiences their own set of challenges, a commonality across all is skilled labor availability.

“Our agriculture, construction, and commercial landscaping customers all have work that must get done at certain times of the day and year, yet there is not enough available and skilled labor to do the work,” said Jahmy Hindman, Chief Technology Officer at John Deere. “Autonomy can help address this challenge. That’s why we’re extending our technology stack to enable more machines to operate safely and autonomously in unique and complex environments. This will not only benefit our customers, but all of us who rely on them to provide the food, fuel, fiber, infrastructure, and landscaping care that we depend on every day.”

The longshoremen recently went on strike to protect their jobs from the AI monsters that the billionaires and power-hungry fascists may want white gladiators for their entertainment.

Maybe they will have to tax the robots so that humans can be given everything they need to exist among the robots.

The co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates has opened the discussion on robot tax. According to Gates, it is the first time in history that technology may be eliminating jobs faster than it creates new ones. If so, then our economic and social systems will be remade potentially in a disruptive and destabilizing way.

A recent example of a software robot replacing human labour comes from the JPMorgan Chase & Co. called COIN, for Contract Intelligence. It is software based on machine learning that analyses financial deals that once kept legal teams busy for thousands of hours. According to Bloomberg, ”It does the mind-numbing job of interpreting commercial-loan agreements that used to consume 360,000 hours of work each year by lawyers and loan officers.” The lawyer bot or software robot works 24/7/365, is less error-prone, reviews documents in seconds, and never asks for vacation or a higher salary.

Without a doubt machines and software are increasingly taking over tasks once performed by people. Automation has already brought revolutionary changes to many industries and this evolution will continue even more rapidly as technology evolves.
