Whitmire should take notes – how to reduce the budget

While reading the New York Times this morning, I came across an article in which the Secretary of Defense has ordered the Pentagon to trim its budget by eight percent over the next five years. I will assume that this means eight divided by five or less than two percent per year.

Whitmire should require something similar for all city departments.

It does not require that any personnel be fired but rather that waste be found wherever it can be found. There is a lot of waste within the City, and the “use or lose it ” principle is one reason why departments rush to spend money at the end of the budget year so that the department’s budget is not lowered.

The DOG-E master, Musk, also suggested that all employees be converted to contract workers so they could be fired quickly. I don’t have much confidence in the muskrat’s ability to run a business; he has only succeeded because of all his government handouts. He has stated that he will have a rocket on Mars by 2023. Oops, that year has come and gone. The muskrat is ever-shifting and changing its goals.
