It’s not like I hadn’t been telling the world that Whitmire was a Republican masquerading as a Democrat. The only thing left is to do a Kim Ogg and state that he is switching parties. Could he still win re-election? Yes, if he gets sufficient Latino voters on his side. All or almost all of those elected Hispanics on the North side and East End side are beholden to Whitmire. They had to kiss his ring to get money. There are exceptions, but not many. Luckily, those of us who are not under the spell of those Hispanics are not as pandejos or paid to say good things about Whitmire or them.
The Houston Chronicle, which is slowing dying, not fast enough for me, claims that he is just reaching out to work with Republicans.
