Because of the protection racket that the USA has started demanding money from every country, alliances are shifting, and we may soon find that most, if not all, of the major countries will be aligned with China and Russia against the United States.
It will not be a war fought with weapons but with trade. How many people think people here will work for 30 cents a piece to make things out of cloth? When I hear the auto workers talk about how great the tariffs are, it makes me want to buy a vehicle that is not made in America next time. I started shopping at Walmart when it promised its products would be American. I quit shopping when it started selling primarily Chinese-made products. I am tired of supporting this country that does not seem to care much about those of us who had to work all our lives, often taking the shower when we got home or working two jobs to make ends meet.
Europe is limping into the trade fight launched by President Trump with zero growth, high debt and political turbulence in its major economies. As the continent’s biggest trading partner—the U.S.—turns hostile, some policymakers here want to double down on Europe’s relationship with China.
