It may or may not be true, but Trump is a compulsive liar, and I personally would not believe anything he says. But for those farm workers who aren’t going to the farm, it is their decision whether to go or not.
I guess he doesn’t want food prices to go higher than they are. On day one, the war in Ukraine will end, and the cost of eggs will decrease. He lied about that, so why would he suddenly become a truth-teller? Even if true his MAGA followers would turn on him for allowing even “illegals” to remain here. He would change his mind, just like the tariffs.
