If you don’t like the numbers, just change the number of murders to a lower number, or at least that is what the City of Houston seems to be saying.
Houston had seen 112 homicides, compared to 104 through the same period in 2024, according to the Houston Police Department. A spokesperson for the department stressed the numbers were preliminary and subject to change.
The wording suggests that maybe those dead people are not dead yet.
Funny how Whitmire is only comparing crime stats with his first year. Why isn’t he doing it for 2023 when Turner was mayor? Could it be that crime was lower under Turner?
