Whitmire and Municipal court judges, enforcement.

Whitmire is always blaming elected judges from Harris County. At the same time, he is referring to them as just judges, rather than criminal court judges. This distinction is significant, particularly if he aims to support the MAGA Party.

Well, when it comes to Municipal Court Judges, he does have a lot of input into what they do, as he appoints them for a four- or two-year term. So, that problem can easily be solved if he shows some backbone in getting rid of some of those lenient citation judges. Just lean on your Presiding Judge to make sure they do right by the citizens.

But the real test for success, some say, will come if municipal courts uphold citations and fines.

“We wanna get it done expeditiously because the people are really suffering with all of this noise,” said District D Councilmember Carolyn Evans-Shabazz.

Each full-time municipal judge shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city council for a term of four years, which term shall begin as of the date the city council confirms the appointment.

Keep track of those judges mayor and maybe you can do more than talk, I am sure that the appointments are staggered.
