Trump and the war mongers are changing their story to we are going to bomb them into submission. You know, when I kept hearing that. During Vietnam.
The Department of idiots and their toadies must not read war books or know history. They think too much of themselves. Even if the weapons start being depleted, what makes them think that some countries will not help arm the Iranians? Iran has four countries that border it through which arms could flow in: Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, and Iraq. While Sunnis and Shiites may not like each other, they probably dislike the US more, and if not the US, certainly Israel.

WR added the following to my part. WR is a former history professor.
Yeah, and the same thing George W Bush was saying about Iraq just before we attacked Iraq on March 19, 2003 (early morning on March 20 in local time), launching “Operation Iraqi Freedom” to depose Saddam Hussein. Major combat operations concluded on May 1, 2003, though the conflict evolved into a prolonged occupation and an insurgency. Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld made their decision to invade Iraq on totally faulty intelligence, and it looks like either Trump is doing the same or has ignored what U.S. intelligence has told him. Oh, yeah, like the invasion of Iraq, oh yeah, it will be over before we know it. Wrong, it was not. And LBJ was too dependent on the Bundy brothers, McNamara, Dean Rusk, and Walt Rostow, who pushed a line of crap that we could win in Vietnam and refused to listen to the real boots on the ground. The same was true for Gen. Earle Wheeler, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Gen. William Westmoreland, the top U.S. commander in Vietnam. Only two advisors have the courage, experience, and background to step up to tell Johnson what he did not want to hear. George Ball and Hubert Humphrey, the vice-president.
