I did not intend to write about any campaigns I would not vote in, but I was surprised by how many people were interested in what I posted yesterday. There have been nearly 500 views of that post. There seems to be a need for information regarding Silvia Trevino. So, I decided to do a Google search. I do know both candidates. I do not live in the area.
I researched all the judges that I recommended and all the candidates. I have not been paid by anyone to promote them.
First article I encounter while researching Silvia Trevino.
In addition, Victor Trevino told the grand jury he never went to the casinos without his wife.
“My wife and I are the only ones who ever went to the casinos,” he told the grand jury. “I never went by myself and she never went by herself.”
… As of today, it’s impossible for the public to know if Silvia Trevino knew that the money she was gambling with may have been charity proceeds. The family’s well-known criminal defense attorney, Chip Lewis, said that Silvia Trevino declined comment to Eyewitness News,
I know what I think as to whether she knew or suspected, what do you thing?

The Precinct 7 constable didn’t testify before the grand jury Tuesday, but spent much of the day trying to hide her face from our camera. Her top aide, Lieutenant Sylvia Trevino, was in the grand jury room all day.
This DA investigation was sparked after 13 Undercover found campaign records in Lt. Trevino’s office at Precinct 7 — evidence the constable used her county staff to solicit campaign funds from employees based on their rank.
Constable May Walker was not charged, but Silvia Trevino had the campaign reports.

Third Article – this the article I ran across while looking at the race for Constable Precinct 6
But pointing to a series of public documents subpoenaed from L’Auberge Du Lac Hotel Casino Resort for the investigation against Victor Trevino, Gonzales said Silvia Trevino may have also gambled with charity funds.
“We cannot gamble with Silvia Trevino anymore,” Gonzales said.
‘Rebellios behavior’
In a statement regarding the allegations, Silvia Trevino said that neither she nor her husband has taken that amount of money to the casino or spent the amount of money alleged.
“To even suggest that we have taken or spent that amount of money is outright preposterous,” Trevino said.
Silvia Trevino added that neither she nor her husband “have ever misused any charity monies.”
During opening arguments in Victor Trevino’s trial, prosecutors told jurors they would see proof that checks and donations made to the charity seemed to go directly to slot machines in a Louisiana casino, “sometimes the next day.”
Victor Trevino soon admitted guilt to the third-degree felony charged against him, and was required to surrender his peace officer’s license.
I know Rick Gonzales; that was in October of 2016. I recall Rick asking me about his race. I told him you can win the primary as a Republican, but you ain’t getting anywhere in November that is a sold Democratic Precinct. Obviously, he didn’t win.

Harris County Constable Precinct 6 Silvia Trevino is being accused of racial and religious discrimination in a new lawsuit filed by a former deputy.
In the lawsuit, former Precinct 6 training Sgt. Radha Patel claims she was fired by Trevino after objecting to hiring practices which favored Latinos over better-qualified African American and Muslim candidates.
Patel also alleges in the lawsuit that former Constable Victor Trevino, the current constable’s husband, was a “constant presence” at Precinct 6 despite his conviction in 2014 on felony theft charges.
The lawsuit alleges Silvia Trevino traded jobs in her department in exchange for campaign contributions.

Fifth Article: This comes from a post from her opponent.

Trevino thinks herself a queen who can do no wrong.
Time and time again, she fails in one of the basic duties, which is to make sure that she hires the best deputies to patrol our homes and businesses.
One gets tired of reading about precinct six constables raping women, molesting children, and engaging in illegal activities.
The latest scandal to hit precinct six (6) happened just a few months ago. Here is the Chronicle on the scandal.
““Unlike Chief (Troy) Finner in Houston, these guys (Sylvia Trevino) are kind of kings of their own little kingdoms,” Murray Newman, president of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, said of the constable’s offices. “They have a lot of discretion about who they do and do not hire. And the fact of the matter is, they can kind of hire whoever they want. … And there’s not a lot of oversight, except the voters.”
Persons residing in Constable Precinct 6, have a choice and they should choose based on information about the candidates.
