Lesley Briones, Adrian Garcia, and the little bird that did not want to fly south for the winter.

Those two are certainly not the brightest individuals, even though one of them holds a degree from Harvard. Leslie Briones won when Lina Hidalgo and two other Democrats drew the commissioner’s district where a Democrat would be able to win. Perhaps Adrian Garcia overlooked that his district was once made more Democratic not too long ago and that Judge Hidalgo, along with two other Democrats, made it easier for Precinct 2 (Garcia) to remain in Democratic control.

There is a possibility that Briones and Hidalgo’s seats could be lost to the MAGAs. Do you think they will give a crap about keeping you there, Adrian?

So why are they attacking a Democrat and siding with the MAGA? Here is a parable that Briones and Garcia should keep in mind.

Briones, please stop sending me mail with your name; I may or may not vote for you. The only promise I made to myself was that I would not vote for a person with an ‘R’ in front of their name. This used to be Steve Radack’s precinct, and he was as good, if not better, than you with constituent services.

Once upon a time, there was a nonconforming sparrow who decided not to fly south for the winter. However, soon the weather turned so cold that he reluctantly started southward. In a short time, ice began to form on his wings and he fell to earth in a barnyard, almost frozen. A cow passed by and crapped on the little sparrow. The sparrow thought it was the end. But then the manure warmed him and defrosted his wings. Warm and happy, able to breathe, he started to sing. Just then a large cat came by and hearing the chirping, investigated the sounds. The cat cleared away the manure, found the chirping sparrow and promptly ate him.

Three lessons to learn to learn from the parable above.

1. Everyone who shits on you is not necessarily your enemy.
2. Everyone who gets you out of shit is not necessarily your friend.
3. If you’re warm and happy in a pile of shit, keep your mouth shut.
