I am currently in the 9th Congressional District, and Al Green is my representative. I like him and would continue to vote for him if he decides to run in the 18th next year. The present Republican map moves me into the 18th, assuming that the lines stay as they are presently drawn (the map that the MAGAs approved.
But I wish that he would retire and let younger people take over. I feel the same way about Sylvia Garcia. Having stated that, with Latinos, younger doesn’t always seem to mean better.
Take the two fools on the hill, Adrian Garcia and Leslie Briones; they need to wake up and remember that they run as Democrats. So why do they help the MAGAs by too often attacking Lina Hidalgo?
But if I were able to vote for the present crop that is running to replace Sylvester Turner, I would vote for Christian Menefee. There are a few others that I believe would represent the district well, but Menefee is the cream of the crop.

As a Latino, I would never support Jolanda Jones because her past actions, at least to me, indicate that she dislikes the Latino community.
