Oxymoron – Gay Republican Group

Last time I read about the Log Cabin Republicans, they were being denied a booth in a Republican convention.

“Homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice,” the Texas GOP platform says. “We believe there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin, and we oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction, or belief in traditional values.” Source

An intelligent person, even a semi-intelligent person, should conclude that they are not wanted in the Texas Republican Party. What part of abnormal behavior do they not understand?

But they continue to pretend that they are wanted in the Republican Party. The article below indeed suggests that.

A Republican group in Houston that supports LGBT rights and liberty voiced its support for the removal of the Pride crosswalks in Montrose.

On Tuesday, the Log Cabin Republicans of Houston released a statement on the issue.

“We believe community initiatives should prioritize safety and fairness for everyone,” LCR Houston President Danny Stevens said. “Removing or modifying the Pride crosswalks is not about erasing anyone’s identity — it’s about ensuring public projects are inclusive, safe, and consistent in how taxpayer resources are used. That means no special treatment for any group, including our own.”

…Charlotte Clymer, a Democratic transgender activist, wrote on Twitter the exclusion of Log Cabin from the Texas Republican convention is not unexpected.

“Watching Log Cabin Republicans be denied access at the Texas Republican Convention is like if cows were incredulous over their applications being rejected by the butcher,” Clymer wrote.

Gay Republicans, don’t you realize that you received special treatment when you were denied a booth at the Republican convention? But don’t worry, your IQ is perfect for the MAGA crowd. All you have to do is hide in a closet again. Or do as before: get married, have a child, and then divorce.

Honestly, my personal observation is that those crosswalks make the crossings safer; anyone but gay haters could see that.
