At about 2 hours and 17 minutes, the speaker asks John Whitmire, “Were you lying, Mayor?” The mayor could not find his voice to answer.
The following video is the Houston Council meeting, where speakers address the mayor and council members. As you can see in the image below, there is no mayor, and most of the council members did not show up or left, especially when a large percentage of them came to speak regarding Houston working with ICE.
The part where speakers discuss HPD and ICE collaboration starts at 41 minutes and runs to about 58 minutes. There is a gap, as some people spoke about bike lanes near TSU, but the council did not interact with them. A few more speakers spoke later. One in particular came out and asked the Mayor why he lied to them about ICE and HPD, but the Mayor stayed silent.
Julian Ramirez impressed me by staying to listen to every single speaker.
