Of Course all those campaign Contributions don’t buy anything

Blue or Red, money talks, and politicians listen. If those people who give money didn’t think they were getting something, do you think they would keep giving? They did not get rich by being stupid.

Our political system is corrupt; it is run for and paid for by the wealthy, almost always to the detriment of the working men and women who struggle from paycheck to paycheck.

The Houston Chronicle has an article on builders who build on floodplains and the extent to which they have contributed to flooding. Of course, the fact that some people get all those campaign funds does not mean that it does not influence the decision-making. They are honest politicians and don’t know who gives them money.

I do have a bridge to sell if anyone is interested.

Adrian Garcia – $145,000

Leslie Briones – $61,000

Rodney Ellis – $139,700

Lina Hidalgo was not listed as having received any contributions from the builders listed.

Tom Ramsey, the Republican, did receive some contributions, but not much.

If politicians want to keep on winning, they take the money and deliver for the money givers, in my opinion. The working people are too busy trying to make ends meet and provide for their families. Politicians have to make sure they are not starving; the Roman Empire lasted 1,000 years by providing entertainment and food for the mob.
