There were six officers in Sylvester Turner‘s security detail, and they were also his pallbearers. The officers are Jack Bailey, Myron Brady, Will Laster, Ingrid Pinzon, Paul Powell, and Rodney Tyler.
Doug Griffith, president of the Houston Police Officers Union, confirmed on Monday afternoon that Donato had served on John Whitmire’s security detail before his arrest. The detail includes around eight officers, Griffith said.
I recall hearing John Whitmire claim that he would reduce the number of police in his security detail. Still, I guess reducing the number of means to have increased the number of police by 33% sounds worse. Still, Whitmire added two more police officers to his security detail, bringing the total to eight, to protect him and maybe his family or property.
Politicians like to brag when they accomplish something, and thus far, I have not heard the ape beating his chest about how he has increased the number of police officers.
