Another Annise Parker friend going MAGA

Not surprising that another one of Annise Parker’s buddies is also going MAGA; birds of a feather stick together.

“You just put your head down and you work hard,” Lovell told me, chalking Parker’s victory up to the Houston Way. “If you do that, you get the respect.” (Lovell did add, however, that she had cried all the way through Parker’s inaugural speech, “which was one of the biggest surprises, because nobody has ever seen me cry.”)

We have Kim Ogg, another friend of Annise Parker, turning MAGA.

When the friends one chooses are MAGAs, that says a ton about that person.

Former DA Kim Ogg calls for Republican takeover of Harris County in 2026

While Ogg was quick to condemn her then-Democratic counterparts, she did jump to support former Houston Mayor Annise Parker’s bid for Harris County Judge.

Former Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg—speaking at a local Republican event—issued a blistering rebuke of Democratic leadership and urged Republicans to reclaim the county in 2026.

“The motto used to be—’Y’all can go to hell. I’m going to Texas.’ Ogg said during fiery remarks at a June meeting of the Log Cabin Republicans of Houston. “Over the last eight years, we’ve had hell in Texas, here in Harris County.”

Despite the critiques she fired at her then-Democratic counterparts, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, Commissioner Rodney Ellis and late Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner (among others), Ogg was quick to extend her support to former Houston Mayor Annise Parker’s bid for county judge.

The people who know you best are those with whom you associate, Kim Ogg, Sue Lovell, and Annise Parker, who are cut from the same cloth. Other than pushing for Transgender and Gay rights, Annise Parker was MAGA-style governing.

Now I know that if you state that the three have one characteristic in common, that being Lesbian, certain people throw a fit, calling one Homophobic or worse, but if they do identify themselves to each other, it is okay?

“I am very appreciative of the Victory Fund’s endorsement and its work to build up and support LGBTQ candidates for elected office around the country,” said Michael Sutphin, who just won re-election to the Blacksburg, Virginia city council.

As for 2020, Parker and her team are excited to be endorsing their first presidential candidate, saying Pete Buttigieg is clearly a viable contender.

“We don’t do allies,” Parker said. “It’s Pete or nobody.”

Voting and supporting someone because of their nationality, ethnicity, or race is frowned upon by many. However, is their sexual orientation okay?

I don’t get paid; I don’t ask for donations. I want my thoughts to be mine because of my experience.

I will never forget what I was told when my teacher, a white female, asked us what we wanted to be. I said, “The President of the United States.” She replied This country will never have a ‘Mexican’ as president. Thus far, she has been correct. We have had a Black President and probably will have a Gay president before this country will vote for us Mexicans. We have not even gotten close to getting a Mexican as the Mayor of Houston.
