One of the things that I have been monitoring is how candidates react to the atrocities that ICE is committing. ICE is Trump’s goons, very similar to the SA (Sturmabteilung), the violent enforcers of Hitler. They were later followed by the SS and Gestapo.
I have been following Annise Parker‘s and Letitia Plummer‘s Facebook accounts.
Elected officials are supposed to represent everyone in their district, not just the people who vote for them. We already have such a jerk as president, don’t need little jerks in Harris County.
If Annise Parker cannot care enough about the undocumented community to even show a little concern, then she does not deserve the support of anyone who does care. We already have too many such people in government; we don’t need any more. Not really sure why she has decided to keep whatever thoughts she has to herself, unless she is thinking of November and wants to make sure that she does not offend her MAGA supporters, who may vote for her.
If you are keeping quiet, you are allowing our country to become a modern version of Hitler’s Germany. Annise Parker cares more about her political career than she does about people, especially the ones that Trump’s goons are looking for.
