Annise Parker job has been to elect Gay people into office. Letticia Plummer best candidate for County Judge.

Contrast Parker’s parents, who are very conservative Republicans, with Plummer’s grandfather, who was very active in the Civil Rights movement.

Annise Parker: “We work hard to endorse Republicans. Our standards as an organization are that you have to be openly LGBT.

Do Democrats want someone in office who actively works to elect Republicans?

After reading basically Parker’s self-grandizing, I left with the idea that she believes that if a Gay candidate loses, it is because people hate gays.

Think on that, not the best people, not women, not men, not blacks, not Latinos, not Asians, only Gay people, regardless of party affiliation.

There is one comment with the link above for only Gay people. Below is what the person said.

So she helped a lot of Republicans gain office. Does anyone see any Republican supporting diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) policies? I don’t. So she can take the LGBTQ+ part out of the equation, and just say that she helped a lot of Democrats and Republicans gain political office. If I had helped a bunch of Republicans gain office I would not be bragging about it.

Who is Annise Parker?

A natural introvert and self-described loner who was raised in a conservative Republican household, nothing in Parker’s upbringing indicated that she would one day become one of the nation’s most prominent LGBTQ figures. But her parents and grandparents taught her the importance of civic engagement from a young age, a lesson she later incorporated into her own activism, much of which took place after regular work hours.

… In January 2018, Parker, who lives in Houston with her wife of 30 years, Kathy Hubbard, assumed the helm of the LGBTQ Victory Fund, a political action committee that seeks to get LGBTQ people elected to public office, and Victory Institute, its educational nonprofit arm, which provides training and specialized programs to potential political office-seekers and support to LGBTQ officeholders to better ensure their success.

…she largely eschews political handicapping and punditry in favor of an eagle-eyed focus on the organization’s larger goal of growing the number of LGBTQ officeholders.

Annise Parker would not have done things differently from Lina Hidalgo, so why did she decide to challenge her?

There’s a lot of things I could complain about with the current mayor, but I could only hope that I would have been as strong and as decisive as he and our county judge have been in COVID-19. They have — particularly the county judge,

On the increase in pay for constables and deputies, Annise Parker agreed with Lina Hidalgo. So why did she decide to challenge her?

Annise Parker has an opponent, and a Democratic Blogger did the same thing to the opponent that Annise Parker claimed was done to her. Parker was identified as a lesbian first. He identified Plummer as a Muslim. Why is one religion important? I expect that from the white Christian MAGAs, not a self-proclaimed white progressive. Isn’t Greg Abbott attacking Muslims as terrorists? Why help the Republicans?

She became the first Muslim woman to serve on Houston City Council in winning that election.

I have read most of Dr. Plummer’s literature, and she does put her religion front and center. I did not know that Dr. Plummer was a Muslim until the white progressive blogger pointed that out.

Letitia Plummer

The Councilwoman has a rich family history in Houston. Her grandfather who was at the forefront of the civil rights movement in Houston and became the first African-American judge in Texas, and where her father made a home with his Yemeni-born wife, became a dentist and provided health care for the underserved (a practice that Letitia continues today).

The same blogger I mentioned above also interviewed her.

There is only one person who cares about people at the bottom of the ladder who may need help going up, and that is Letitia Plummer. Letitia Plummer does not care if you are gay, brown, or polka-dotted. The only person who has taken a stand to protect the immigrant community.

If you want another Kim Ogg, then support Annise Parker; they have similar backgrounds, and they have supported each other throughout their careers.
