Harris County has a bunch of pathetic Latino leaders who could easily be classified as MAGAs lite, if not for the “D” they like to put in front of their names.
That includes so-called civil rights organizations like LULAC, and the County Judge Lina Hidalgo. At least she will no longer be with us.
The Latino community is being terrorized with their help by the goons that Trump has unleashed. Many of the balless politicians supported Houston’s current mayor, a mayor who says we can’t do anything because it could get worse. If you and your family are the ones being terrorized, if you are being stopped because of the way you look, if you are stopped because of the language you speak, then how could it be worse? First, they came for the Latinos, and then they came for the Gays, and then they came for the Democrats. No one will be safe if you don’t believe the same way the MAGAs do. You already have Lesbians joining them, Kim Ogg, Susan Lovell, and while she has yet come out, I expect Annise Parker to switch parties just like her two friends mentioned.
Many of the Latinos in office are there because John Whitmire put them there; they won with his support. Sylvia Garcia, Carol Alvarado, Armando Walle, Ana Hernandez, to name a few. Christina Morales seems independent, and she has spoken out lightly about what is happening. But as I had posted earlier, it happened because a White woman was murdered in Minneapolis.
But minorities such as the one below, who are speaking up for them?

Until the Latinos in elected office grow a pair of balls that Emalino Zapata would be proud to have, they don’t deserve our support. They can lose, and nothing will change for those at the bottom, so the only losers will be the ballless Latino politicians who too often get rich off their ethnicity or race.
A long, long time ago, someone asked me about the government; this was when Cuba had turned communist. I recall telling them when you don’t have shit, who cares who is on top. I have something now, so I care, and so should everyone else, because what is happening now will continue as long as the MAGAs are in power, and ballless politicians will not make a difference.
