Thanks to Texas redistricting done to appease their cult god, Donald Trump, we have two excellent representatives vying for the same position. I have been in Congressman Al Green’s Congressional District since he got elected in 2004. He is an excellent representative, and if I had not been redistricted out of the new 18th, he would get my support. It is called loyalty to those who have done a good job. Congressman Green is older than I am, and I know I am old, like him. I sometimes have to use a cane and have trouble going up and down stairs, but my brain is still as good as it has ever been. I believe he should have stepped down, but that is not my decision to make. Unfortunately for Congressman Green, a new poll shows him trailing Congressman Menefee by a significant amount. I, too, aced the test for dementia that Trump thinks is an intelligence test. Trump showed us how dumb he and his children are when they were in Howard Stern’s studio. The question is: what does 17 x 6 equal? The answer is 102. Think on that, what kind of idiot do we have running our country?
The polls show that they both have very high favorable ratings. So I will assume that many of the Democratic voters that were contacted feel the way I do, time to hang up your spurs, Congressman. There are horizons that you can follow. I am sure that if you plan everything, you can enjoy the rest of your life helping other people. Maybe mentoring young men and women toward new leadership that the Democratic Party sorely needs. Or doing pro bono work, I assume you still have your law license.
Menefee (80%) and Green (79%) are viewed favorably by four-fifths of the Congressional District 18 likely Democratic primary voters, with only 14% and 7% not knowing enough about them to have an opinion, respectively.
Whoever wins the Congressional District will be well represented.
My new Congressperson is Lizzy Fletcher. She is okay, but she is not one who will stand up to the Republicans and their win-at-all-costs. If she is, she has not shown it to the public. But she is a body that calls itself a Democrat and thus the means to gain control of the House so that the destruction of America can be stopped.
